Without Spending Hours on Boring Exercises.
Most people waste years trying to figure out how to play jazz guitar.
Here’s the problem: There is a ton of information out there about how to play jazz guitar. But nothing that actually helps you put the pieces together to improve your playing.
There are books full of chords. Books full of theory, scales, and licks too. And somehow you’re supposed to take all of this stuff and put it together by yourself – without a real explanation of how to do it.
You end up buried in music theory you don’t know how to use on the fretboard.
Trying to figure out how to make time to practice everything on your ever-growing to-do list.
And spinning your wheels in the meantime – you don’t sound any better than when you started.
That’s why I wrote the Jazz Guitar Survival Guide. It’s the one resource you need to get started playing jazz guitar – and sounding good.
It has easy chord shapes, scale patterns, and exercises so you can learn jazz guitar fast – and start playing real music right away.

Why should you listen to me?
Hi, I’m Kyle. I’ve been a jazz guitar player and teacher for most of my life at this point.
And what I really like to do is help people cut through all the noise – the “extra stuff” that gets you spinning your wheels and getting nowhere with your jazz guitar playing.
Early on, I ran into the same problems as you.
There is just so much information out there about jazz guitar, and it’s hard to know how to put it all together.
I’ve got bookshelves full of books about chords, scales, arpeggios, theory, you name it.
But I found that putting everything together in a way that made sense was up to me.
There was no “one book” that covered everything. At least, not in a way that was helpful.
During college, I got involved in teaching a jazz camp. It was my job to improve the guitar players as fast as possible. The camp was intense, and students needed to be able to play in small groups and big bands on day 1.
Some of the students were pretty advanced, and others had just gotten their guitars a few weeks earlier.
This gave me a great laboratory to figure out what really works for people learning jazz guitar. I figured out what people really needed to know to be able to get the right notes out of their guitars.
And I put it all together in the Jazz Guitar Survival Guide.
This material has worked wonders for my students, and for my own playing. It’s simple, straight to the point, and shows you exactly where to put your fingers – so you can play jazz guitar.
